KDWN has moved into the Beasley building. The airstaff is trying to get used to the new equipment. They are having lots of technical gliches. They are using a new call in line with a 736 prefix for now. Pete, Ken, Hart, Tru, and Jim have all survived the ownership change so far.

I noticed they started running promos mentioning the kdwn.com web site, they are promoting some type of poker contest tied in with a car dealership. That promo was one of the most mainstream sounding things I have ever heard on KDWN.

On the Beasley website a press release was issued announcing the completion of the sale and the option for the  real estate at the transmitter site and comments from a Beasley exec saying at 50,000kw the station is an excellent platform for talk radio programming.

I noticed KDWN is now running a new, produced, top of the hour ID. Most of the old production elements are gone. I think that the "seven twenty K-Dawn" jingle has been laid to rest.

This promo no longer mentions kdwn.com, it now directs KDWN listeners to the Star 102.7 web site.
