OH NOES!!!!!!!

HUMP DON'T LIKE US!!!!
One last point I forgot to make to you.  If STL is such the world-class city you think it is, then why isn't there an airport hub out of STL?  You can't even get directly to most international destinations out of STL anymore.  What kind of World-Class City is that?

I doubt the powers-that-be are judging by airports when deciding whether to program Smooth Jazz or not. If "Red" couldn't be sold to a Crayola box, then where does that leave Smooth Jazz? It seems like both formats would serve the same audience. Though Red would've been better tried here in Atlanta, both markets have close to the same success with the classic rock/hits duo. Just because we can support a smooth jazz station here doesn't make us any "classier" than STL or Rome, Wisconsin. It's just two different markets with two different tastes, that's all.

BTW, congrats for your World Series win. Prepare to go through us in 2007.

Atlanta's Killer Variety, the Brain Freezer, Merge98FM. www.merge98fm.com. Home of 16-in-a-row or $16 dollars and the $25 No Nonsense Promise. No crunk, no snap, no reggaeton or call in and you win for complaining.

I think you missed the point.  Alex B mentioned about STL being a "world-class" city, but most cities that are "world-class"  you can get anywhere in the world from DIRECTLY by plane.  I know this has nothing to do with radio, but I needed to explain myself.  True enough, markets can have different tastes, BUT you can also tell the priorities of what is important in certain areas of the country.

It looks to me as if you missed the point, Hamp.

All I got out of your posts was that you didn't like St. Louis, and you don't like classic rock.

Too bad.

Now St. Louis has a station called Movin' that plays bad music all the time.  You'd like it.

I guess we are world class now.
