AM Drive on EEI without D&C
« on: July 09, 2005, 09:52:09 AM »

With Dennis & Callahan on vacation last week, it was refreshing to hear Mike Adams and Larry Johnson doing AM drive on WEEI. They were funnier and much more caller friendly than D&C. D&C's condencending style can be irritating at times. I know this will never happen, but if EEI announced Adams and Johnson were taking over for Dennis and Callahan, I for one would be happy with the change.

I dislike D&C also, but I don't think Adams& Johnson would be that good, and as you point out it will not happen as long as D&C produce and don't get carried away with salary demands.

I'd rather hear them than D&C but don't hold your breath.

Some people can be replaced without missing a beat, some can't. D&C would be missed for about 2 sec's. As long as the Red Sox pull the EEI wagon, it wouldn't matter who was in morning drive. The Sox are a unique property and it would be interesting to see what would happen to WEEI if they moved out in 'o6.

I for one find them to be pompous, homophobic, Bush-apologist windbags.

I think The Big Show would survive, not sure about D & C.  In Dennis' case, if he has a different opinion than you, he at least lets you talk.  Callahan is just a typical Republican who when a person has a different view, that person is always wrong.

I agree with all of the above posts. Especially the critiques of Callahan. He's impossible to like because he disrespects his listeners like nobody else on the air. As for Felger I like that he doesn't always take the "Pro-Boston" view.
