Thanks for everyone who did help me! I am a college student who is helping run our schools radio station, so why don't you guys stop being [EDIT], be more considerate, and think before you say something. Although you may think it makes you look "cool" by being an ass to people it is very unprofessional and immature.

Call the office 404 651 2240 at Album 88 and speak with one of the music directors. 88 is a college station.....the MD's will help you contact reps.
Do not feel alone....I don't understand this gawd forsaken business either!

Here is some "help"- When you go after the "promotional materials" I
would suggest that you do not call the people you speak with the vulgar word for your rectal aperture. They may take offense. To quote Tony Soprano, you look like a real "choodrool."

If you are near the city where the promoter is located, you should VISIT them. I got several HUNDRED albums from 2 Chicago distributors on South Michigan Ave.

In the Summer of 1967 I was trying the same thing you are at the college radio station. Capitol Records in Chicago sent us 25 copies of Sgt. Pepper. We GAVE THEM AWAY and took pictures of the people we gave them to, then contacting Capitol with how we did our promotion. The Capitol Rep drove a hundred miles to visit us and service us with more stuff.

Four Years later I OWNED the am (and later the fm stations) in this college town and this same Capitol Rep serviced all my stations with far superior service than the other local stations who never responded to him (most of them got nothing).

Over the next 20 years he also serviced the 2 OTHER stations I owned.
You know, you never know WHO you are dealing with - on a board like this or when you are shopping for promos.

If you are college age, I have SOCKS older than you. I would suggest a bit "calmer" demeanor when you are seeking help. You will someday kiss your wife with that same mouth.
