Anyone besides me notice the familiarity of most of their music beds?

Did they raid the FOX News Channel production library???

The theme for the Hurricane HQ was the same used by FNC during their Scott Peterson coverage. Real original, Chicken Noodle Network!

Bob:

Do you know anyone who can compose, perform and record original music??

If so, tell them to get in touch with CNN about doing original music beds for various CNN programs and event coverage.

Production music library strikes again...  pay the license fee, get the music.  They used to compose a lot of original stuff, but those days seem to be over.

MSNBC's music theme for the hurricane sounds like a horror movie... so many minor keys....

I have recently heard on FNC the music CNN used during the OJ trial.

I thgought the coverage on ALL channels were overdramatic.. made me want to puke. it was almost like they were pissed off that the hurricane wasnt like an Andrew.

Hurricanes have turned in a media circus.. and being a longtime FL resident.. I think its pathetic jounalism. They think its cool when a buildings roof blows off.. or a house is completley demolished... and the thing that really gets under my skin is when anchors that have never been in a hurricane.. tries to tell the public what they should and should not do during a hurricane. I heard soooooooooo many things that they were saying to do.... that a person should NEVER DO during a hurricane. Wrong Info.. and BS journalism.

And if you missed it the first time, you may have your chance this weekend, when Emily tracks close (or over) Cuba towards the Gulf (as of 7/12).

Is CNN's Rob Marciano, their meteorologist, related to the famed late boxer Rocky Marciano? Does he just do "weather" or does he anchor as well?

He is mainly the meteorologist for the Sat-Sun morning broadcasts. He is also Chad Myers' main fill in on DayBreak and American Morning M-F.

I don't think he's very good as a Meteorologist. Spends a lot of time looking pretty and not enough time talking about the weather.

And yes, someone at CNN likes him, a lot. He's recently been seen as a fill in anchor on both American Morning and CNN Sat-Sun Morning.

To think that great OCMs like Orelon Sidney (who just quit a few months ago - was very good at packing as much info as possible into short weather segments) and Jill Brown (freelancer) get less on camera time then him is very disappointing.
