Cumulus - Best or Stupidest?
« on: November 16, 2006, 08:06:59 PM »

“We continue to position ourselves as the best run radio company in America” said John Dickey Executive Vice President of Cumulus Broadcasting.

BEST RUN RADIO COMPANY IN AMERICA?  How can a company fire the personality who gave their station the highest ratings ever and still call themselves "the best run radio company"?

What a joke.  Michael Dickey was rumored to be making $300,000 a year, but the highest-rated jock was let go for "budget cuts".  Does that make any sense at all?  [EDIT]

having once worked for the dickeys , they are ridiculously cheap and dont not care about the product on the air. they step over dollars to save pennies and I witnessed good productive people be fired in front of everyone. they are priviledged little socio-paths with this grating aristocratic self important vibe. and no I wasnt fired, I left on my own. their ilk is responsible for the ruination of radio.

their father got the empire up and running, if life were a hundred yard dash they got a 90 yard head start thats why they dont value those that work for them. not in the least, very very cold people.

I forgot to mention that Cumulus has a zero tollerance policy about Internet porn at work.  Someone I know got busted, but got to keep their job.  The real reason is they were being paid peanuts.  Also someone in management physically threatened an employee, and management got a promotion!   Undecided   Go figure.
