According to All Access, 2 upcoming Reds games will be broadcast in Spanish on 1360 Homer. The games will be against San Francisco, with Francisco Romero and Gil Heredia being the Spanish language versions of Marty and Joe/Steve. ______________ I'll get back to you when I think of a cute quote

MIX go Spanish? The station has rebounded numbers-wise and is a low-cost money maker.
If anything, HOMER will go to 1530 and 1360 will go Spanish. Even that's a long shot, though. The BUZZ and WTSJ are doing Sunday evening Spanish programming. Why doesn't WCIN go Spanish? They've got nothing else going on there.

Hurban on 1360 would do no good. so either Mix or Fox will get bounced is CC has the urge to go Hurban in Cincy. WEBN and Kiss aint Going No WHere anytime Soon

Is there a large enough hispanic population in the Cincy metro to support an FM spanish station? I know Columbus has one but according to US Census stats, their hispanic population is 2.5% compared to 1.3% in Cincy.
Per US Census Bureau:
2000 Cincinnati = 331,285 (city) Hispanic population 1.3% (~4,300)
Columbus = 711,470 (city) Hispanic population = 2.5% (~17,780)

There is no format flip emminent. XM carries various games in Spanish throughout the season and evidently these are two of the games that have been chosen in Cincinnati. Its part of MLB's deal with XM. I don't know why its being simulcast on Homer but maybe MLB or the Reds asked Clear Channel if they'd carry the Spanish broadcast as well locally since they'd probably have to feed it to XM. I could be wrong but don't see "Dos tipos enojados en 1360 Chollo el Animal de deporte"
