"all i can say is we havent met"

Where did that come from? I didn't suggest we'd met. If we had met, how would I know "doc964"? I don't know who thisTom is either. And no, I haven't mistaken you for someone else. (There are other liberal doc9464 posts out there besides those on radio-info and I'm sure none of them are you.;-]) I just wonder sometimes why the anonymity? As I said, I would just like to make a small (well, not too small) wager on the outcome of this liberal wetdream that's being played out in the US media.

I know you don't want to, cause it's nearly the same deal. An active FBI man spilling classified information to the press in violation of the law for the express purposes of political revenge. The exception being Rove is not a FBI employee and Wilson's wife was CIA. What Nixon or his men did is beside the point and is irrelevant to the fact that had Mark Felt was breaking the law and that's why he assumed a secret identity. Rove hasn't broken any law, and, as everybody knows by this time, this latest attempt by the Democrats to embarrass Bush has failed (again).

I won't go over all the Clinton stuff again because, for the most part, nobody gives a **** anymore. Everybody knows what happened and your spin and rewriting history doesn't prove anything except that you get all your impartial news on Republicans from Al Franken and James Carville.

Change the "he" to "she" and you could be describing
how a lot of us feel about the slimy Junior Senator from
New York State. (But, unlike Chappaquiddick, no one
drowned at Whitewater, I must admit.)

LSOC is a new one on me. I couldn't find in in Google or
even in http://www.urbandictionary.com ! What is it?

Well my friend you fail to see the largest point, at the time Mark Felt did what he did, it was NOT against the law to "whistleblow" the FBI, CIA, or other government organizations.....I am not looking as Felt as a hero...he unlike Rove did perform a whistleblow option...should he had violated the law (if it was against the law in 71).

The law was put in place after Phillip Agee's book in 1975.....he may have been one of the primary reasons this law was created.....due to this book and what it may or may not have cost the US in national security assets..

Some insight on Mr. Agee
http://www.democracynow.org/print.pl?sid=03/10/02/159258

Insights on Wilson's book
http://talkleft.com/new_archives/006279.html

Rove may have been a party in doing the following:

...outing a CIA operative (Plame was undercover its proven) - she was an asset of the CIA who wouldnt have filled out the criminal complaint if she was a secretary...or some clerk.....thats why we have a special prosceutor...because the complaint went to Ashcroft..who had to recuse himself...(gee wonder why)...and they had to go to Illinois to find this guy Fitzgerald who if he brings charges in..im buying a box of chocolates.

....helping provide information that destroyed a secret company of the CIA...Plame was a representative of Brewster Jennings and Company...a energy company created by the CIA (no the real Brewster Jennings had nothing to do with it)

..... lying to the grand jury (Remember Rove told everyone he had nothing to do with it but its clear now he was involved ...even if he turns out to not be the main criminal..hes still linked and still a liar...)

......and the real fun......Wilson was RIGHT....there are efforts to hurt Wilson but his report was right.....we know the other reports, 911, Dulfer, Senate, etc....all showed this Adminstration was wrong on the Iraq war....Wilson was just the first to stand up against the lies....and his wife paid for it..we know  he told Chris Matthews that "Plame was fair game".....

I didnt bring up Clinton...conservatives always bring up clinton when the facts are presented to them...then they just blame clinton. I don't get my news from talking points...i don't have to prove that to you...but unlike you..who i believe probably hasnt done much than listen to Hannity and the latest GOP radio host or spin meister

No one died from Clinton's problem...look at all the blood shed from the war as well as the possible deaths from outing the participants in the CIA company Plame was a part of....who knows how many agents lives are on the line?

I know the truth hurts....but its ok...I know you don't have anything of value to share except insults.....real Americans try to stay informed...unlike you who choose to stay in the dark...when the wash comes in....im curious what you will say to this administration when its caught in a cover up and has damaged national security due to arrogance....if you care to put the facts down...then im ready to debate..but im sure you won't...its easier to insult and run...

Ive asked dozens of conservatives to offer up 3 things (with proof) that Hillary did that was "evil". Ive yet to see anyone succeed...Hillary (and the president) was chased by Ken Starr and Richard Mellon Scaife's "Arkansas Project" over the 90's.....no crimes, no inditements, no charges...why do you hate her so much..because she overlooks her husbands sexual dalliances....? because she was given the health care project...btw..she wasnt successful....so what are you crying about....specifically ..because she bought a house in New York, satisfied the requirements...and won a seat in the senate...without contoversy...? (just like Alan Keyes in Illinois..so dont say carpet bagger)....so what is the beef?

Is it ever OK to divulge the identity of a CIA operative, even in a backdoor sort of way? NO.

There was no controlling legal authority. Sounds familiar.

It's called moral absolutism isn't it? Funny that the republicans who claim they want to be above the sort of behavior seem to fall victim to it. Then blame dems for their failures. If only the Clintons hadn't tempted Rove to out  Valerie. Not by name, mind you.

Rove wasn't whistle-blowing. Here is the definition, (dictionary.com):
"
One who reveals wrongdoing within an organization to the public or to those in positions of authority
"
What wrongdoing was Valerie up to? How about her husband? What was the criminal conduct? Oh, that's right- he criticized the administration. That ain't no crime. I have been doing it for years! Do I need to be locked up? On second thought, don't answer that.

The only criminal here is good ole Karl. Hopefully, he will stay in the administration and remain an albatross for the next few years.
