No irony there.

Wide open spaces are where the buffalo roam, but I hear tell that there are a few wide open pastures with a bull for the gals.

Wide open pastures with a bull for the gals probably have a few other surprises waiting too so be sure to watch where you step.

Watch where you step in your backyard, if you've planted land mines.

Land mines are sometimes intentionally planted, but sometimes in life we set them up quite by accident.

Quite by accident, Newton came to understand the concept and real world application of gravity.

Illusions at night are often far more dramatic than mirages by day.

One of the things one must remember when using the LTO drives in 129/130/141 is: REMEMBER TO REMOVE YOUR TAPE FROM THE DRIVE WHEN YOU'RE FINISHED! Someone walked away from one last night, leaving it sitting in the drive on guvax. It's an apparently encrypted volume, a Sony 500GB tape marked with a "SERIES IV/Incrememnatl [sic]/HIGH" on the cartridge top in black Sharpie but no other name. So if it's yours, come down to the computer centre to name and claim it.

If you do have to leave your tape in the drive overnight for whatever reason, please remember to at least put your name on it, especially if it's something important! Same goes for the QICs.

I am now posting aircheck files and such on Youtube under https://youtube.com/user/oldradiotapes on an experimental basis.

When downloading any of these files, please use only the type 22 (720-P) option when available, as it provides the highest-fidelity audio (MP4/192k AAC).
