What does gay-j 103 have to do with how bad the Buzz continues to suck, Ryan? Mo was grating and ultimately self-destructive (taco mayo anyone?). I guess Ryan is championing J-Wod in hopes of getting back on there, but I think it's pretty clear to see that "multitasking" J-Wod into this PD position is just a means to an end as Tom Travis' superiors decide what to make him do with that signal next. If they were serious at all about success, then why shuffle yet another top 40 jock with no rock cred (see: Joe "I've really always wanted to play Nine Inch Nails, not Tiffany" Friday) over and make him keep his current morning gig, plus do mid-days? It's obvious they have no intentions of winning. Not to mention that Crystal is a bad choice for afternoons, voice androgeny is not a good characteristic for a radio jock. Neither is being boring, which she is. But it's probably not her fault, it must be hard to sound interested in the crap she has to play. Which brings me to the guy they have voicetracking nights: Jay. More robotic liner reading, emotionless delivery and a weak voice. Does anyone on the 11th floor even have balls?! Or is it a requirement that Cheap Channel takes those along with your brain, heart, and soul when you sign in blood on the dotted line? So many questions. Soon enough the Buzz will grind to it's inevitable end and be replaced with...who cares? Then the Katt will re-assume it's pathetic role as the only outlet for new rock in this town that is supposedly known for loving music. Just to be fair I hate the Katt and everything it stands for. And Tony Zzzzzzz? Really, Ryan? Have you ever actually heard a good rock jock?

(no words... just imagine me standing in the studio listening to beastie boys doing the robot).... (hey!!! my arms dangling here, did ya see that?Huh it's dangling... you know like the robot dance!!! totally kick ass)

so no static, exactly what do you do in the radio business??? you know alot & have an opinion on everyone except you still haven't told us about yourself besides the fact that you tried to impersonate Ferris O'Brien...
no static, do you work for clear channel?

I do the robot to.  Remembering the days when Barreda did the Beauty and Besties weekend.  I walked around like a robot all weekend that weekend.  God I miss the 90's  Cry   no-static must be a former spy DJ.  if that is the case she should change his name to static because that is all 105.3 is.  However I have some friends who are Hispanic and love that channel so who knows.

Well, anybody that likes to do the robot can't be all that bad. I was too harsh about you before Jay. Sorry. Listening last week you sounded much better. I forgot to calculate the whole getting used to things factor since you are new on the Buzz. And Crystal actually seems to work pretty good in afternoons, too. Who knows, maybe if Jrod gets enough leg-room he can turn it all around...by the way I do work at CC in a sales type thing (Stone Temple Pilots reference, thank you.) but I don't want to elaborate any more than that.

Hey Ryan, I never could pick up the signal from the Spy in OKC, but I used to listen to KSPI in Stillwater all the time when I went to school there. It was good until Ferris showed up. What's the real truth on why you left the Buzz? I always thought you were the best jock on that station. Lotsa band info and passion for the music. And how can I hear Radio Beam?

Man, I'm glad my Zoloft finally kicked in. Wink

Well for starters Corbin and I we just did not get along very well.  He set me up on a few things that really reflected on me and yet he as Program Director would'nt ever try to fix things.  He made a few comments to me the weekend before I was let go that made me think ok he is really out to get me.  I made a mistake one morning that yet was my fault but then it really was'nt.  I knew he had me then.  Why was it not my fault?  I caught him doing the same thing I did during the daytime which is a huge no no!!!  Then the day I got pulled into his office with Tom he had this stupid little gren on his face like "I got you look"  well I got my stuff and left I tried to let it roll off my shoulders that it did not bother me but I knew if I layed down everyone would push me over.  I did say somethings that I do regret yes!  a few Bridges I have burned in the process yes!  I still love Clear Channel as a company and Bill Hurley and Tom Travis are good People to work for.  I have not said a bad thing about them.  I hate Corbin still but yet I forgive him at the same time becuase his stupidity, I really get the last laugh.  I did not wish the buzz would drop so low but at the same time it just proves he was a mistake,  I am not saying hey I told you so because I am not that type of person, and it would not be fair to Hurley or Tom or Clear Channel if I said that.   when the whole MO thing went down we just were on a roaming basis wondering what is going to happen next when Tom did not even know.  Tom gave me a great chance and managed us well and I will give Corbin some credit here he did put all of us on the same page on communication and did a good job with the website when I hardly know .html stuff  He improved the look but not the stuff behind the look. (if that makes sense)   I don't care to much for Crystal but she sounds better in afternoon drive then nights.  Jrod is already doing an awsome job with the music making it sound like and Alternative Rock station should sound.  I emailed Bill to tell him hey man people are noticing this it is great.  Jrod is a laid back guy but at the same time on his feet with things, if you mess up he will be honest and in your face about it and correct you and tell you hey we do it this way, if you do a good job and do it right he rewards you.  And I am not saying this to be a suck up or anything but I watched him at KJ-103 under Mike and and thought one day he will be a PD of a big station.  And it has happened!

For the record I am not mad at anyone at Clear Channel the only one I hated is gone,  I know a few of you that hate me like Crystal but the way I see it you are not getting paid to make friends.  No-static Thanks for the complement about the on air stuff (I think?!?!)  Grin

Good luck guys, you are lucky to have a good PD once again.
