New jock announced for FRESH
« on: February 02, 2007, 08:50:38 AM »

I am a little surprised there's been no mention on this board about the the PM drive jock hired by Fresh. Allaccess had the story yesterday about Mike Perry from Florida. He's originally from Long Island but has been on the air in Florida for at least twenty years. I know nothing about the guy. Too bad CC couldn't find someone already in the region to fill this position. I mean, there was nobody between New York and Philly who applied for the gig who was a good fit?

Ummm... I think you mean CBS.

I hope they hire one of the big names dropped from Lite FM for AM drive on Fresh. I think that might be saying a lot though...

If you're talking about Bill Buchner and J.J. Kennedy who were  go in November 2006, they may not be able to work because they MAY have a non-competing clause in their contracts.

The new mid-day jock will be Heather Walters from Houston (KHPT).  She'll start on 2/19.

Ah, you're right, I forgot all about that possibility. Ah well, it's nice to see they're filling out the schedule.. I just hope their choice for AM drive is a wise one.
