Salisbury University's LP-FM's days may be numbered

If approved, the move of WCTG from Chincoteague to Eden, Md south of Salisbury (note: on the tower Delmarva Broadcasting owns and has Max 92.5 on it), may be a problem WXSU-LP at Salisbury University. WXSU-LP is on 96.3, and the 60 dbu signal of WCTG will cover WXSU's tower site. They could co exist, however the owner of WCTG has caused problems for translators on his adjacent before, and the FCC rules do not protect LP's from full station move-ins. A word to the wise, that LP licenses doesn't really mean they run to end of the license period. LP FM, quite a gamble!

ARRRRrrrgh.  Salisbury finally gets a student-run station (and it sounds pretty good too) and now some greedy commercial broadcaster tries to pull a move-in like this.  What about the relatively underserved Eastern Shore of VA?  Oh no, WCTG doesn't really care about them.

IMO LPFMs should have more legal protection than translators, but I guess legally, they don't?  Is that really the case?
