Was George's kitchen radio "broken" until IBOC broke it?

The quite predictable result of turning IBOC on.  Any engineer worth his or her salt could have told them what would happen.  The number of documented cases of AM-HD interfering either with its own analog signal or others is growing by the day, and the hash can extend for hundreds of miles.  The FCC needs to slaughter this turkey...NOW.  It violates every prudent facet of good engineering practice and, if it's not stopped, is going to put an end to any usefulness the AM band ever had.
