Anyone remember Burt and Kurt?

I suppose I'm the only one in the thread without anything positive to say about Bob Burton. (Hmmm... no mention of his career as a musician?)

I remember he called me into his office to tank me- didn't think I was good enough for nights in Jackson- and before he could say anything I told him I was leaving to do middays at KSLQ/St. Louis (at the time, a BIG station.) He looked at me, and sat down without a word.

JDX never sounded as good as when Tanner was PD. His afternoon guy, Rodney W. Randall (Jay Marks) was out and out stunningly good. I would have loved to have been part of that...
