No Jack in Tulsa.
Doesn't OKC have a Jack equivalent? A "Bob" or something?

The very essence of Jack - a rather large, if arbitrary, playlist - is unknown at Bob, which has a rather small, if arbitrary, playlist.

Effectively, no. Bob-FM in OKC isn't like most Bobs, or Jacks for that matter.

thank you for the responses. the jack format, which has been way more successful than the other flavor-of-the-week format (classic alternative), is working well in seattle, but the ratings will flatten out when the new wears off. there's a lot of pussified songs on the format, so i'm not sure that will work well for oklahoma, but it's nice to hear such a variety. there are only songs, commercials and short canned self-promotional tags. i hope some pd at the bottom of the book brings it to you, no matter how much live talent objects.

I haven't seen much of that here.
The only ones they're rough on here are the ones who are obviously industry vetrans who ask dumb questions. =)

How do you know? That is strictly a guess, not based on ratings or research.
You certainly may be right, but there is no may to know.
There is never any way to know this early.
>There's a > lot of pussified songs on the format, so i'm not sure that > will work well for oklahoma,
Again you don't know if if would work in Oklahoma, because you don't have a Jack format in Oklahoma.
Jack is not Bob. Two different brends.

If you want real variety, check out The Mighty 1190 in Dallas. Far larger playlist than Jack ... and no ratings so far.
