ARB p2 Spring
« on: July 10, 2007, 05:25:28 PM »

Holy crap what happened to Mix? and KMOD? I mean we all knew KHTT was gonna have a bad one but I did not see those coming? Mix has not been the same for about 2 years now. Maybe it really is time for a NEW Mix 96. Grin

I suspect no one is too worried at CC. With all the sell-offs there were bound to be distractions all winter and spring in that company. Should have been an opportunity for everyone else. Angry

Looks like KOOL is making some small progress which along with KTSO is chipping away at Star, and KXOJ is back to their pre-KKCM numbers just about. Can't be good times over at 71st & Yale.

 Huh

Where are the legions of Cox apologists who regularly post on this board?

It's just a trend, why the big deal? Is this the trend that shakes Cox to it's foundation and ends with seeing Wavy Davy on the street begging for money, Dave & Nina working at Burger King and Joe Kelly eating babies?  Smiley

If you put any stock into the trend, then you obviously do not know much about radio.
KVOO had one of the lowest months ever and there is no panic here.  Based on phase 2, KVOO lost 2/3rd's of the audience.  NOT.
Sure, it sucks to have a bad phase.  The books are barely worth looking at and a phase is crazy to study.

The only thing wrong with most of these stations is how much money they pay Arbitron every month.  That is the stupidity.

Shame on all of us.

To those who thought KFAQ would die after DelGiorno....you were wrong too.  (If you believe the trend that is.)

I recently heard from someone at Arbitron who said that Arb wouldn't even be publishing the trends if stations weren't screaming for them.

He even admitted that they're (the trends are) pretty worthless when the rubber meets the road.

I'm glad you added that last note JournalGuy because had you not that could have gone down as the most hyporcital post in the history of this board...

With that said... I'm sure they are celebrating right now at KXTD right now... where did THAT come from?Huh?
