I love reading fiction on this board. Bruuahhhhaaahaahaaah
Do you really think that a top morning show and PD would air their laundry on this board. Bruhaaahaaabruaaahaaaa.

Both have no cut contracts, both are going nowhere.  Who makes up this stuff?  bruhhaaahaaah haahaaa...

Maybe the cowboys at KOMPASS has too much free time.  This is rich bruahhaahaahaahaaaaaaa.

I know this to be 100% true. It is a fact!
An ego maniac who is over rated and can't live without his prep sheets and having someone do everything for him - then again what Morning host isn't like that?

No one is untouchable in this business (unless you have pictures of the OM with a goat), but there may be truth to some of it.
Does seem to be a power struggle of sorts between Fitz and Possum; could it be Fitz is trying to get Possum fired and replaced with who he wants to be PD? Fitz is pulling in numbers and under Possum there has been staff craziness, people leaving and low morale.

I'd be pissed too if I had to answer to a guy named Possum!

I've noticed it myself while wandering the hallways over there off Olive that this is indeed going on.  Also, my two cents on the Wolf: the talent they've been putting on the air over at the Wolf lately, wow.  One word, immature.  It's so over the top, I don't enjoy listening to them anymore.  The new evening guy, a couple jocks on the weekend, and who the hell knows who they are going to get to replace mid-days (Val is leaving).  But I'm sure we'll be seeing a drop in their 25-54 numbers.  But if they are looking to hit it huge with those 12-19 year old girls, more power to 'em.  I'm really not sure what Possum has got going over there, but if he's looking to beat KMPS... lol   GOOD LUCK!   Wolf lately is sounding like a country version of KBKS.

Speaking of which, does Jackie and Bender have a 'no cut' contract or what.  I know a few people have talked about those really not existing.  But they suck, and the ratings back that up.  KBKS has dropped ratings wise over the last couple years.  Either Jackie is doing personal favors for Marcus D, or Jackie and Benders contract is ROCK solid, which as discussed previously, nobody has rock solid anything anymore.  Anyone know what's going on?

Isn't that the idea of the whole Wolf Concept? A CHR flavored/delivered Country Station? I know that's the aim of the SFO Wolf that Entercom runs too. Their ratings skew pretty young in Market 4.

Yeah definitely the concept of the Wolf... to an extent.  Right now Seattle Wolf is over the top.  When they first signed on, they sounded great.  Young, upbeat, and both young and old enjoyed listening.  Now the talent they are bringing in are young and immature.  Some of the antics they are pulling; 'Pants off Friday'.  What person over 25 is going to want to listen to some horny 22 year old jock yap about how barely legal chicks with no pants are in the studio!?  Or a phone topic: "If your love life was a candy bar, what flavor would it be?"

You would NEVER hear that on a station going after those 25-54 numbers.  They are alienating the majority of a key demo.  Speaking of alienating demos; country music is more of a 'family friendly' format.  What parent would allow their kid under 16 to listen when stuff like that is happening?

I don't think KKWF is bad in all dayparts; Fitz is sounding better, and Lobo is one of the greatest jocks I've ever listened to.  I would be willing to bet that Val (mid-days/MD) sees what the possum is doing to that station and is getting out before the ship sinks.

In the past, I agreed with Fitz and others that said The Wolf would win the country battle in Seattle, but with the recent changes under Possum, KMPS is my bet to win.

I've streamed the Wolf in SF, all their big daytime jocks are over the age of 25 (I think their afternoon drive guy is even over 50!!).  I really enjoy listening to them down there.  Scott is keeping that station in check.

Many of the comments are dead on with what is going on with the Wolf.
Lets see if after the meeting yesterday with their consultant Lorna if the things that were brought up make an impact. My guess is no. Fitz doesn't take the input offered by her and it goes in one ear and out the other. She has some brilliant ideas and suggestions yet when you are paying someone like her to consult your show and or station and you don't use that resource then what good is it??? Fitz seems to think he knows it all and shuns any and all input.

The clock is ticking on this shipwreck and without solid leadership and direction it's only time befor Possum or Fitz is shown the door and they decide to go in a different direction....Warp Factor 9....engauge!

I would think that these issues would be best if ironed out by the fall book but who knows what will really happen.

I don't know Dave Richards is pretty damn good at keeping the ship on course even when the crew is running wild, you need only look back to 100.7 before the flip to country. How many months did he keep the cease fire in place between the morning and afternoon shows only to come out smelling like a rose when it was all over with two stations greatly improved  Shocked

Wouldn't it be something courageous if all of you gossipers would come out and id yourselves, or are you worried you might be caught.  Are there any among you that personally work at the WOLF - come on, out yourselves!
