Neal Boortz's act growing old

When Neal first made the move to WSB in 92 (I think this was the year) he offered a refreshing, Libertarian voice to the radio. While he had been on WGST, excuse me GST, he seemed to improve once he made the move.

More than a decade later, Boortz hardly ever lets on that he is a Libertarian. Instead, he's become nothing more than a Limbaugh, a Hannity, a Michael Savage (i.e. just another mouthpiece for the Republication Army). Heck, he even voted for Bush rather than Michael Badnarick in 2004.

Listening to him today, he has apparantly run out of ideas. (Nothing to be ashamed of afterall he has been doing this for many moons). It's just I wish he would expand into something other than rubber stamping everything the president does. It's way past being stale.

Sorry I disagree.  Neal Boortz differs much from the names you dropped.  For example he was the only voice I heard on Conservative radio demanding the Schiavo feeding tube be pulled and for the government intervention (and waste of tax dollars involved) to cease immidiately.  In fact you probably have not heard his arguments with Hannity on many political matters.  They almost quit speaking to each other during the Schiavo fiasco.  

He is also the only conservative talker out there to make it his mission to repeal the 16th amendment and enact the Fair Tax.  Others are now just getting on the bandwagon but Boortz is the Champion of the Fair Tax.

I only occasionally listen to Boortz anymore. Had pretty much my fill of him, Fat Boy, Insanity Hannity, and the like in the 90's. It would seem to me that Neil has gotten to comfortable in his chair. Money, and ego can do that. Like most of the big boys of talk radio (left, and right) he seems to be talking to hear himself talk, and just going through the motions. Which leads me to my question...

How much of the stuff that these guys spout about each day do you guys think they actually belive??

I think that he is so full of himself and how rich he is.  I am not jealous, I have my own money, thank you, but he is really an obnoxious personality. He needs to go.

I wouldn't argue that his act is getting old (listen long enough and you'll hear the same stuff over and over), BUT I don't agree he tows the Republican line.  He's much more free thinking than Hannity and the like.
