One has to remember, the show that CBS yanked in 200-whatever is radically different than the offering now. CBS let them back on, provided that the content is scrutinized so as to not offend the senses of the corporate lawyers. In essence, they are being hamstrung. Sure, it still pushes the envelope, but its a watered down version. Of course, the listeners from the XM side want the same show they did when they got back on. Times have changed. I am still a fan of O&A, but would LOVE to see them return to XM fulltime, where they can freely express themselves.

Now, as far as my thoughts on YSP in general, its too little too late. WMMR now, like they did throughout most of the 80's, is firmly entrenched. But now, you also have a strong product on 104.5. In this day and age, YSP may just be odd man out. We'll see, anything is possible.

At 5p on Saturday, September 15 WYSP played Weezer "Say It Ain't So".

That AIN'T Rock.     Not a bad tune, but not ROCK.

just a satire of YSP's digs on MMR for playing Huey Lewis, Styx, and Mike and The Mechanics.

What is rock? Ah, good question.  Styx, Mike & The Mechanics, Blondie, Tom Petty & The Hearbreakers etc. are declared to be not rock. Says who? Some mental midget on YSP? What can be said is that the music from these artists clearly has longevity. Why?  How about melody, lyrics and musicianship. The no talent crap-ola that YSP plays won't be getting any notice in 3 years. It's thowaway. Welcome to WYSP - "Radio Nowhere".
