Will O'Reilly give up his show?

Competing against Rush, etc., has been tough and BOR needs a bit more time for his
TV duties, etc. Brian Maloney is hearing The Radio Factor could be gone by December.

Those on the left AND those on the right each have their reasons to hate him! On Free Republic people
were saying they hated the fact that he dismissed the Swift Boat Vets and embraced Kerry. They said
he was blowing in the wind from issue to issue.
In an update Maloney said that one site was dismissing the rumors but he said his sources were
trusted, etc.--and he feels that even if he isn't leaving the show in Dec., it might just last one more
year or so and then end.

I think it is funny that the story was broken by Steve Young on the Hufffington Post on Monday.  It was then debunked by Brian Maloney, the Radio Equalizer on Tuesday.  On Wednesday Young blogged that his original story was incorrect and that O'Reilly had re-signed with Westwood One.  Later on Wednesday, Maloney blogged his "exclusive" that O'Reilly was on his way out.  More on my blog.

Stephanie Miller's executive producer Chris Lavoie mentioned O'Reilly was on the way out weeks ago.  Now, he's hearing it from more than one source.

Though Tom Taylor, radio-info.com's newsletter guy (subscribe for free...) hints that he may not be
leaving just yet. Could re-up for a yr or so.

Sounds like an election year re-up. Westwood figures that they can make a buck with the increased interest in talk in the election year. Then O'Really can leave quietly next X-Mas (after the requisite War on Christmas babble).
