1) Dallas and Los Angeles have nothing to do with each other. Dallas is consulted by Alan Burns. Los Angeles by Guy Zapoleon.

2) The sample hour was from Rick Dees national top 40 countdown that runs every Sunday.

The poster should've waited before he overreacted and posted.

WTF?  Why would a Jammin Oldies station carry the Weekly Top 40?  I get the Rick Dees connection but that would be like KSCS carrying the Smooth Jazz top 20 countdown.  Makes no sense to me.

Countdown likely part of Rick's deal with Emmis. They've run it since he started. Probably contractual.

I would check prior to making such a bold statement.

1.  KMVN in LA is Jammin Oldies "The 70's & 80's mix that makes you move"
2.  I did not reference the Oasis anywhere in this post!

Read the log below and tell just what part of the playlist (with the exception of Madonna) not a jammin' oldie?

Donna Summer Bad Girls
5:02 AM

Michael Jackson Billie Jean
5:07 AM

Napoleon XIV They're Coming To Take Me Away, Ha-Haaa!
5:13 AM

Sister Sledge We Are Family
5:25 AM

Madonna Into The Groove
5:31 AM

George Clinton Atomic Dog
5:45 AM

Stephanie Mills Never Knew Love Like This Before
5:49 AM

The Emotions Best Of My Love
6:01 AM

The Gap Band Burn Rubber On Me (Why You Wanna Hurt Me)
6:04 AM

The Average White Band Pick Up The Pieces
6:41 AM

Rick James Super Freak
6:51 AM

Foxy Get Off
7:01 AM

Blondie Heart Of Glass
7:04 AM

Parliament Flash Light
7:23 AM

Wild Cherry Play That Funky Music
7:40 AM

Tom Tom Club Genius Of Love
8:02 AM

Earth, Wind & Fire Let's Groove
8:06 AM

Lipps, Inc. Funkytown
8:22 AM

The S.O.S. Band Take Your Time (Do It Right)
8:40 AM

Napoleon XIV - They're Coming To Take Me Away is a great song but is definitely not a Jammin' Oldie.
