And why did they move to 93.3?

Because they apparantley want to distant itself from KRBE [it's too close to 104.1 & 105.3] Univision could move KPTI to serve the South & West side of town-If they could. That's where the Millionaires now live.

Congratulations to 104 - KRBE.  You just scored about another .5 to a 1 share with Party's move.  Not a brilliant move to put a weaker signal over most of Houston's hot zip codes.  On the other hand, I hope you enjoy those Beaumont - Port Arthur numbers.

Yeah so that means that i cant listen to Party 93.3 bc i live in west Houston. 93.3 covers Beaumont, Port Arthur and only parts of houston to the north  and south and east but unfortunately not the northwest ,west and southwest Houston

93.3 is a rimshot..licensed to Port Arthur, not Beaumont...Same tower (CC Devers) as 100.7 and 99.9 (used to also have 98.5 Port Arthur and 107.9 Beaumont on it)..

would somebody please publish a dummy's guide to finding Univision stations?  It's become quite puzzling. Embarrassed Embarrassed
I'll do it.........but I'm just to lazy.

If it would help, here's only the Houston market.
KLTN 102.9 (CP to change city of Licsence from Houston to Missouri City)
KLAT 1010 AM
KAMA-FM 104.9 (currently on a Construction permit to move across Downtown to broadcast @ 8,800 watts and change COL to Deer Park, almost no change to height of tower)
KPTI 105.3 (out there in the sand dunes of Crystal Beach, heard somewhere they wanted to move to Winnie)
KPTY 93.3 (with a CP to build a booster by Aldine Mail Road and 59)
KRTX 980 AM
KOVE 106.5  (CP to move to a much taller tower with a whopping 100 KW)

relicensing 102.9 to MO City wont help...it cannot move from where it is at!
104.9 is on one of the tall downtown bldgs...eventual plans to make it a C1 at Mo City.
105.3 aint moving any time soon...still locked in paperwork battle over COL to Winnie after 100.7 to change to Lumberton but that depends on the 105.3 app in Vinton, LA.....
93.3 booster will suck....doesnt work in flat terrain and it cannot expand the 1mV contour of the main station...dont even know WHY they bother
106.5 already runs 100KW....CP is to go from 1200ft to 2000ft...nothing else.

I've actually heard people say they listen to 104... meaning KPTY. So that makes sense.

I live on the south west side close to the loop signal is kinda weak, I made a trip to 610 & mlk signal weak there with statick here and there when I made the trip. Had my radio on about 30 min ago there were taking callers all the callers were on the east side like deer park glena park so this mean if your 610 west loop or further out west your out of luck.  1049 has 80% better signal in houston I guess they switched to hit all the mexican on the east side.

Yep, It's true. 104 KRBE has finally ran Party out of their sight. Party's move to 93.3 is good for the East Side, Bad for the West. Now-all that is cleared, Maybe Party could add some Reggaeton/Hispanic Urban to the Hip-Hop/R&B Mix (Since it's owned by Univision) for the Sharpstown based station.
