It's been three weeks since the big Z-93 flip over at 717 E. David Rd...What do you think so far of the new Fly 92.9?

Fly?  They have run out of people and animal names, they are starting to name stations after insects?!

Man, you are so right. I mean, "Fly" has nothing to do with the aviation history in Dayton, right?, it's just an insect.

I don't think Fly is a bad name for a station...If you people would listen to the station before actually attacking it, you would know that "Fly" is supposed to be a tribute to Dayton's history in aviation, thus A SOUND OF AN AIRPLANE AND NOT THE BUZZING SOUND OF A FLY on their imaging...Maybe to shut up the critics of the name Fly they should've just named the station 92.9 The Flight.  They could've done worse and named it Ted-FM, one of the worst AH stations i've EVER heard  Smiley.
Also, if I remember right, Mainline left Liberty(Their other Adult Hits station in VA.) jockless for two years before putting someone on that station in mornings.  Leave it alone...Let the music speak for itself...If you want talk in the mornings, turn it to Mix.  They have longer stopsets during the six o' clock a.m. hour than Fly has in two hours.  Adult Hits is supposed to make the music the star of the show anyhow.
Mix 107.7 is an 80s-leaning Hot AC.  If I was them, I would get away from the 80s and be more like WBNS-FM/Mix 97.1 in Columbus, which is a CHR-leaning Hot AC...At least it would be something fresh since Dayton has only one CHR.

On MIX Friday was 70's day, Saturday was 80's day (they played Casey's Top 40 from the 80's again for people that missed it on Thursday (I missed it) and Sunday was 90's day.

I like it.  No controversy...just an opinion.

Mix does that most holiday weekends.
It's officially called the "One Decade At A Time Weekend".  Yes, they do it every holiday weekend, at least this year they have been doing it since Memorial Day holiday weekend.
Should I mention I heard Sniff N' The Tears "Driver's Seat" early Wed. morning on Fly 92.9?(Last time I almost caused a near riot similar to being at a retail store on Balck Friday) Grin  Geez, last time I mentioned this I was told Fly copied Mix after I had asked a rhetorical(Look it up!) question.  I used to listen to Mix quite a bit and never remembered hearing that tune...Just must've been the time(s) I was listening.
Now, I spend more time listening to Fly than Mix...Mix used to be my favorite Dayton station until Fly came to town.  I still listen to Mix...Rarely if ever.  I listened to them for maybe 5 minutes on Sunday night and haven't been back since.

I listened this weekend while I was in Blue Ash; and I liked it.  I think the music mix is much better than what I hear down here in Louisville on Louie-FM.

I didn't know it took so long to have a website built for a station like the new Fly 92.9... "New Website Coming Soon!"... a month later...

Online stream would be nice to have at work for my guests.
