Dylan gone at Q100 ?
« on: January 02, 2008, 07:18:16 AM »

Dylan seems to be off the air at Q100.
Adam Bomb moves to 3-7pm and Wendy goes solo 7 - 11pm.
Has Dylan left the station ?  Or is he still the PD ??

How does this affect Q100 ?

Wasn't Roberts always "in charge" as OM over Dylan?

With Adam Bomb (filling I assume) in afternoons, Wendy (filling I assume) in nights, and Brittnay middays, that is a very weak (and cheap $$$) lineup outside of the Bert Show IMHO.

The question is:

a) does Adam gets a day-part promotion out of this, leaving Roberts to hire a new night person

b) does Roberts bring in a new afternoon driver/PD with Adam sliding back to nights

c) is the new Q100 lineup Bert Show, Britnay, Adam, Wendy?

I actually reserved the domain, with 99xwatch.com as my inspiration is it time to launch my http://www.howdoesthisaffectq100.com/ blog?  lol

So does anyone know if this was a budget cut?  Was Roberts dissatisfied with Dylan's programming?

I once worked with Dylan on a promotion.  He's very smart and a businessman.  As a jock, he was weak in my opinion.

He rubbed EVERYONE the wrong way. Not a nice guy. Didn't help that he was dating the old promotions girl while still being married. One reason she left to join her old friend Tracy St. George in West Palm.

It's the lead story on Allaccess.com, since I think it's against radio-info.com policies to quote entire articles, and it's not possible to link to an individual article on Allaccess, nuff said you can check it out.

Highlights are:

a) Roberts is named PD

b) Roberts is looking "for a new APD/MD/afternoon personality who really gets the 18-34 female lifestyle"

c) Also Q100 is looking for "some great on-air weekend/swing talent"

d) Dylan quote: "The station is on fire and hitting all of our demographic goals, the BERT morning show is the best in AMERICA and the rest of the staff is nothing short of amazing. I wish everyone at CUMULUS and Q100 the very best."

Of course this doesn't fully address/answer Roddy's or Inside your radio's questions/comments above.

Funny, but I was reading TSG's bio on the WRMF website a couple of weeks ago.  She talks about coming to Atlanta and working at Star 94.  But she makes no mention of doing middays at Q100 for 6 years.  Maybe she ran out of space.

I remember when at Q100's launch party in early 2001, Brian Philips remarked to the crowd that "Tracy will tell you about how Q100 rescued her from another station in town."

Yeah they made a mistake letting Tracy go. Dylan treated her poorly and Rob Roberts sat down with her and asked her what else she could do beside being on-air??? Huh? She ended up leaving for about the same money but for somewhere that appreciated her talent!

Some clarification here.  Roberts says he's looking "for a new APD/MD/afternoon personality", isn't Brittnay (middays) the MD?

"One reason she left to join her old friend Tracy St. George in West Palm."

Then wouldn't it make more sense that Tracy & Erika are an item if she left Dylan for her?
