"One reason she left to join her old friend Tracy St. George in West Palm."

Then wouldn't it make more sense that Tracy & Erika are an item if she left Dylan for her?

Your first post and you make a lesbian pun? Nice.... Rumors have it that Erika left and broke Dylan's heart... Awwwww. Maybe you know more?

So then at what point did Dylan break his wife's heart? Sounds like Karma to me. They say when you do something wrong it comes back to you three fold. So Dylan cheats on his wife with an intern, how classic, then said intern breaks his heart by moving away, I am guessing since this is out on Front Street perhaps his wife left him and now he lost he job. Yep the Karma cycle is complete. Time to move on.

If you continually alienate everyone who works with you, eventually even the least perceptive management will make a change.  Mr. Sprague was counselled more than thrice about this aspect of his personality.  Apparently, it didn't take.  The bullet was administered efficiently, if a bit late.

So does anyone know if this was a budget cut?  Was Roberts dissatisfied with Dylan's programming?

I once worked with Dylan on a promotion.  He's very smart and a businessman.  As a jock, he was weak in my opinion.

He rubbed EVERYONE the wrong way. Not a nice guy. Didn't help that he was dating the old promotions girl while still being married. One reason she left to join her old friend Tracy St. George in West Palm.

News to me.  I worked there for several years and I don't know anyone in the building that thought that.  In fact, tonight I talked to a couple of former jocks and they were all pretty much surprised by the news.  The guy took a station with less wattage than a light bulb and made it competitive against a heritage Top 40 in an urban market.  Could you do that?

Me thinks you're talking out your butt.  But hey, it's radio, and one thing they teach you to do in radio is to "burn all your bridges" so you keep on talking about a major market PD who got let go from Cumulus (gasp, like Cumulus has never shot themselves in the foot before  Roll Eyes).

I'm also calling BS on the "counseling" point.  Cumulus doesn't do that.  They just fire you.  Like they did me.

I can't speak to the infidelity claims, but I interned under Dylan a few years ago and he was always very nice to me. He even took the time to listen to and critique my crappy air checks.

I'll always have nice things to say about him. I'm sure he'll land on his feet...and in a major way.

He used to listen to my airchecks too...he kept the hope alive that one day I too would be on air full time....

Ha...keep thinking that I don't know what I'm talking about... it's cool. Really don't care. And this is why we have this board. So we can vent with impunity!

I've no idea what the Cloud Company does, never worked for them.  It's quite unlikely that I would in the future.  Their predecessors, however, were very employee oriented, and did try to direct their employees away from negative approaches and towards harmony, Mr. Sprague included.
