Ken "Skye" Kinder Passes Away At 42

I only knew him a little though his ex, but what little I knew of him, I liked.

He had a good voice, great production skills, and seemed like a genuinely nice guy.

The last time I saw him, he was handing out WB19 magnets at the movie premiere for "Hitchhiker's Guide To The Galaxy."

As always, he was all smiles.

Wow.  Ken-san.  It wasn't that long ago that he called me about a possible radio gig - and like the previous five times he called, I had to say "Dude, I got nuthin'".  I wish there would have been SOMETHING, because we always talked about working together again, and now that chance is gone.  I worked with Ken at KOCD in Joplin, MO back in 1995-96...and have never had such a good time in this crazy business.  On concert road trips, nights at the...uh, gentlemen's clubs, or just hanging out drinking a frosty beverage...Ken was a one-of-kind personality that made you realize how good it was to be alive every minute of the day.  A true on-air talent, so unlike the liner-card readers we hear so much these days.  Ken, my friend, you will be missed - on-air and off.
