Must be one of those Manhattan Liberals who's never been to Queens.  No...that can't be right...

You have a point there.

Guessing at motives again? No. My motive was to demonstrate that a virtual press release for Ed Schultz would not draw the criticism that one for Gallagher or Limbaugh would.

That's a decent recovery attempt but the only other host commentary nearby was that about Ed Schultz. It was so obviously wrong I could hardly believe I was reading it.

My religion is more of that of the Old Testament but I do admire evangelists. Keep up the good work.

Huh? You from NYC? I don't know anyone who hasn't been in all of the boroughs, including S.I. and if Gallagher is a liberal then they are in more trouble than I thought. Hey did you know that the cheapest gas in the city is in Brooklyn? As much as 50 cents cheaper per gallon cheaper. Oh well a local story i guess.

It was a lame attempt at a joke.  Some Republicans in the outer boroughs talk about Manhattan Liberals who've supposedly never been to the outer boroughs (even though I've never met one). And, obviously, Gallagher is no liberal.  I'm no longer in NYC, but lived in the Bronx and Manhattan for many years.

By the way...your source for these talk show ratings is Talker's Magazine. They use a hodgepodge of ways to try to calculate audiences since they actually don't know or do not measure anything.

Was that a lucky guess or did you just happen to notice that in my original post, I said it was from Talkers Magazine? I even provided a link.

Their methodology is disclosed over their rankings, although it does not reveal anything that could accurately be describe as a "hodgepodge". It does disclose that these are "estimates" and "rough totals".

If you have a more accurate objective source to rank talk hosts, I'll drop Talkers Magazine and switch to the one you suggest.

Are you going for balance in the "Fox" way or the "PBS needs to be balanced" way? Not that there is a real difference...but hey some conservatives think there is a difference in eliminating dissent. Just my opinion.....

Dampier has it right and Jerry Stevens correctly likes to quote Daniel Moniyhan (sp?)

"Everyone is entitled to his own opinion, but not his own facts."

If you aren't up to the fact that what you post will be challenged by all , then you shouldn't post anything. again...just my opinion....and i keep trying to remind you that you can't read minds....but thanks for telling me who i and and what my beliefs are.

I'm fine with it. Just doing a little challenging of my own. Get used to it.

Sorry to be so sensitive. It just seems that there's always some attack going on, on this board. I apologize for my going overboard. Oh, the Cross Bronx and Whitestone are still a mess. Smiley
