KXJM and KVMX are simulcasting the Jammin' format, as we speak!  They don't seem to be mentioning 107.5 yet.  I'm surprised 2 different companies would do this but it seems like a good idea.

Personally I think its a good one, especially for the KXJM listeners who now have a new place to hear their stuff. Plus they're dropping the "MOViN'" logo for "Jammin'", which also makes sense. Lets hope that this time around that KVMX can really succeed where KXJM failed.

Apparently, KXJM didn't exactly fail.  Paul Allen just thought this was a better opportunity.

CBS RADIO has acquired the format and intellectual property of former ROSE CITY Top 40/Rhythmic KXJM (JAMMIN 95.5)/PORTLAND and has put it on Rhythmic AC KVMX (MOVIN 107.5)/PORTLAND.KVMX.

The move happened last night (5/9).

ROSE CITY flipped JAMMIN's original 95.5 home to sports on MAY 1st (NET NEWS 5/1).

KXJM morning team (and SUPERADIO suyndicated), "PK's Playhouse" will make the crosstown move, and current KVMX PD LISA ADAMS will reportedly be PD at "JAMMIN' 107.5, Hits And Hip-Hop."

Jammin will work well, CBS will invest and thats the story.

Mark did an amazing job with the station, and Lisa will continue his legacy!

It looks like Net News should have waited to become Gross News to get the story straight:  It hasn't happened yet!

Call letters to 'move' to 107.5?
